Manny Ruiz defends flyweight title while Hernandez, Solorio, and Cantu are crowned as new champs at 559 Fights 20

The Fresno Convention Center was packed as the Central Valley fans were treated to four title fights at 559 Fights 20.
In the main event Madera's (6-6) Chris Huerta representing Torres MMA looked to defend his 559 Fights welterweight championship in a rematch versus Fresno's (7-3) Art Hernandez. Hernandez would use his ground game to frustrate Huerta throughout the fight. Hernandez got a take down in round three where he moved to full mount, then took Huerta's back, and rained down some hard punches until the referee stopped the fight at 1:30 in round 3. Making Art Hernandez the new 559 Fights welterweight champion.
in the co main event 559 Fights flyweight champion (5-0-1) Manny "The Beast" Ruiz out of Team KO defended his title and kept his undefeated record in tact. Kerman's (2-2) Christopher Gonzales dominated the first round taking Ruiz down many times but couldn't keep him there. Ruiz would take over in round two, taking Gonzales to the canvas where he would punish Gonzales with some ground and pound from full mount. In round three Ruiz got the take down and moved to full mount again where he landed some punches until he took Gonzales back. Ruiz then secured a rear naked choke that would end the fight at 1:29 in round 3.
(4-2) Evan Solorio became the first ever 559 Fights lightweight champion stopping Visalia's (3-0) Armando Perez by tko. Solario blasted Perez with a punch as Perez shot in for a take down. Perez was stunned, Solario followed up with some hammer fists and the referee would step in to stop the fight at :10 seconds into round 2.
(7-2) Leo Cantu defeated (4-2) Wilbert Rogers to win the 559 Fights cruiser weight title. Cantu pressured Rogers along the cage for most of the fight, and used his ground game to get the unanimous decision win after three rounds.
Team KO's (2-2) Carlos Hernandez defeats (2-0) Josh Sudbeck by unanimous decision.
Thrive MMA's (1-0) Julio Lopez stops (2-1) Josh Davey by submission, locking up a arm bar that forced the tap at :33 seconds into round 2.
Dethrone Base Camp's Eugene Cancino made a successful amateur debut defeating (1-1) Chou Vang by unanimous decision.
(2-0) Mason Fowler defeats (2-0) Jeffrey Lewis by submission with a arm bar that brought a end to the fight at :37 seconds in round 2.
Team KO's (4-3-1) Edgar Loza defeats (2-3) Stephen Sandoval by unanimous decision.

(1-0) Adrian Flores defeats (0-0) Anthony Martinez by tko at :47 seconds in round 3, after the Doctor stops the fight due to a cut.
Selma BJJ's (1-0) Arcides Tovar defeats (1-0) Jesse Ledezma by unanimous decision.
(0-1) Roger Gonzales defeats (0-0) Jeremy Garibay by split decision.
